(Will put up pictures in a day or two)
We left CEE in the morning at 6.30 am. We started cycling at 6.55 am and reached Anand at around 2.30 am. No punctures today!!! It felt good to cycle after a break and though it was quite windy, we covered the distance pretty fast compared to earlier.
We had an accident though today. A scooterist came from the side and hit the front wheel of one of the cyclists – Nicoi, our youngest cyclist who is only 13 yrs old. The front wheel is bent :( either we will have to buy a new wheel or try and get this fixed. Lets see what is possible.
Lots of press today. It started with the TV on the highway and they took interviews of a few of us. We were then escorted to the Amul Circuit house where we were staying for the night. There were more press waiting for us there.
After a quick lunch, we went to visit the Amul Factory. Watched a presentation and then walked through the factory to see how milk was received and pasteurised. There after we went to see the butter and milk powder manufacturing and packaging units as well. Apparently out of every rupee that Amul earns, 80 paise goes to the farmer! Worth every penny we spend...
Tomorrow we go to Baroda / Vadodara. We have 2 presentations and one presss conference there... So sleeping soon...
